I have been breeding Rough Collies for several years and always found ‘collars’ were an issue !
With their slender heads and long noses, called Dolichocephalic breeds, conventional collars simply slipped off their heads the first time they pulled back; something scared them, or during training or teaching puppy to walk on leash or any other issue that caused them concern. This can be very dangerous both for you and your dog (especially puppies). So, I hand-made rope slip-collars for all my dogs and sent them home with my puppies.
Recently I have been able to take my experience to the next level and hand-make leather slip collars that are worthy of sharing with the public. It turns out that many breeds benefit from my design ! Even the Brachycephalic breeds like Bully type dogs, Mastiffs, etc. seem to really like my smooth leather, un-abrasive collars that do not irritate their chubby neck layers .
Several breeds of dogs are now wearing my unique designed leather slip collars with great reviews.

” Hello! I wanted to let you know that the new collar is perfect! We bought a 27″ black leather collar that suits our pooch perfectly. It’s still fits a little big but he’s a mastiff puppy that’s growing everyday. We always bought big collars to accommodate his ever-growing body and loose skin but that resulted in the collar being too big and he was able to back out of the collar. We tried the chain slip collars, but they are too rough for our gentle giant. The leather is soft and pliable, the slip design allows for his big head and loose skin while still being able to maintain control, especially in an emergency. Well done! “

I’ve always ‘hated tags’, city licence tags, rabies tags, etc. Jingling and clanging along every time the dog moves or runs! Plus, the aluminum or metal they’re made of discolor the white ruffs on my beautiful Rough Collies! Hence my newly vinted ‘Tidy Tags’. A lovely leather pocket made of the same color leather as your collar. Can be easily removed or opened to put new tags in, can be engraved with your dogs name and contact phone number, and will not annoy you or your dog! If you have more than 2 tags to enclose, or if your city uses bigger tags, please let me know and I will custom make a larger one.
